Counselors and psychotherapists vary in their styles and approaches. Ask him to explain why he is remaining silent. If he doesn’t give you a plausible explanation, consider interviewing another counselor. When you go to any counselor ask yourself if you feel comfortable in his office? Can you trust him with your innermost thoughts? Is he respectful to you? Does he answer your questions? Has he told you how long this process will take? Remember, you are hiring the counselor and you can take your problems and your money elsewhere. The right counselor will change your life for the better so keep looking for that person.
