My wife is a social worker and has a very good reputation. The truth is that she is good with her clients but at home she is terrible with me. When we argue or disagree she immediately uses her hands. I have been hit, punched, and slapped and smacked more times that I can count;. I don’t want her to lose her job. What can I do?

Dear Husband,
You can give her three choices – the spousal abuse stops or you report her to the police or you file for divorce. There is no excuse for her behavior. If you truly love her you can work with her and a mental health professional to figure out what is going on in her mind and her life to compel her to harm you and teach her other ways to express her needs.
